Testbed as a Regulatory Science Tool (TRUST) is a design model for creating 5G network testbeds to evaluate data transmission for medical-device functions.

The tool helps manufacturers and test laboratories define evaluation needs and translate them into testbed characteristics, procedures, and configuration options. It addresses planning, test coordination, monitoring of device and network performance, and selection of relevant 5G components.

This work was developed by Omar Al-Kalaa and collaborators in prior federal research roles. It is presented as professional background and does not imply FDA endorsement of Inovectrum.
